Hi guys! I love minimal vests. They happen to be a very classy way of dressing an outfit up. A few times, vests have actually been my life savers. I tend to find myself jumping from a long styling day, or even from the gym, to an evening event that requires a more formal dress code. In such cases, I have discovered that, no matter what I’m wearing underneath, throwing a sleek vest on top, and swapping my flats for a pair of stilettos will always do the trick! So I def want to highlight the importance of having such staple garments in your wardrobe. Believe me, you will thank me!
Through the years, I have come to understand how important it is to know yourself, not only emotionally but in each and every way. It is important to know what color suits you, what shape is more flattering on you, what trends you can and should try. This is the way you can guarantee that your look will always stay on point. In this sense, correct me if I am wrong, but I find that A-line mini skirts are one of my fortes. Albeit it being very simple, there are certain details that make this look work: the flared sleeves, the snake print sling backs, the red nails, the denim… It is all about working with the simplicity of it.
I hope you all have a great weekend ahead!
Hi guys! To be completely honest, I am not used to wearing power suits. I know, right?! A bit shocking… The thing is there is something imposing about power suits, which is really the same reason they give off a strong look. A woman that knows how to wear one is also a woman who is confident, and who is not afraid of being the center of attention. She is a woman that conveys a fearless personality, which is sexy AF! So yes, they are a tremendous statement to wear, and if you dare to do it, believe me, it will be a transforming experience. I wore this black and white printed suit a few weeks ago. Needless to say, it was a total hit! The dashes of red on the earrings, the bag and the lips were the right choice to pull the look together. I hope you guys like it!
Oh!…A small tip: if you don’t feel like risking it that much with print, try a more demure version of the power suit in a neutral solid colour.
Have a great day and dare to suit up!
Have I ever told you that I was once obsessed with interior design?
I would spend hours watching Divine Design and Design on a Dime yearning over the breathtaking transformations, and desiring to one day create sickly beautiful ambiances as the ones that Candice Olson so effortlessly delivered. As life happened, my career steered on a different path, but my appreciation and love of masterful interiors has never left me. I have to say, this is probably one of the reasons why, Lobby, a chic restaurant in the heart of San Salvador, has quickly become one of my favourite places to go to. So don’t be surprised if you see me drinking a few cocktails, or having a big mouthful of their succulent hummus and muhammara any time soon!
Happy Tuesday sweethearts!
About a couple of weeks ago, I was asked to create an outfit with these gorgeous, lace ankle booties. I was told that because they were such a fashion statement, it would be harder for people to visualize them in their wardrobes. I immediately jumped, psyched at the thought of it. I loved the shoes the moment I spotted them, and I already had an avalanche of ideas on how to wear them.
The easiest way of wearing them is letting all of the eyes immediately fall on them, by leaving your legs bare skin. Wear them with a mini dress, skirt, or shorts for maximum showcase. You can always also wear them with skin tight jeans, or if you don’t dare to actually bring everyone’s attention to them, combine them with straight leg or flared trousers.
The new year is crawling towards us. For 2016, there is a few things written down on my list of wishes, and propositions (career, self growth, and love being at the top of my list). It feels good to start over. It feels good to have a clean year ahead, in which whatever happened before will just help us get to a new, better place. I wish you all an amazing year, and I thank you for being my companions and baring with me in 2015. xxA
I have been hunting for my Christmas and New Year’s outfits since the last weeks of November, but this year the task has proven to be harder than the one before. I have looked online, I have looked on my trip to Spain and to the UK, I have looked on local shops and everywhere I could think of. It was hard, particularly because I did not want to fall on my usual head-to-toe black ensemble. I finally did come across a perfect gold, shimmering, super sexy dress; however, along the way I bumped into perfectly nice and flattering black options that, of course, I thought of sharing with you. So excuse me if you may, but I will now bombard you with a few black outfit ideas for your multiple Holiday gatherings. Let the looks roll!
