A take on linen

Hi guys! Here is another of the beautifully tailored pieces of our colletion Borneo by Lumi. This one actually was designed to be a linen suit, with straight leg trousers and a vest top. However, I thought it would be nice to show the versatility of the top by combining it with a pair of dark jeans. The fan-like clutch and the geometric earrings are also some of the pieces we have at Borneo, both by Colombian designers.  xx A Hola a todos. Aquí les muestro otra de las piezas de Borneo by Lumi. Este top en realidad lo diseñamos como parte de un traje de lino, con unos pantalones rectos que tenían el mismo detalle de la costura vista a los...

Gold Matte

_MG_1652

I have found myself falling into metallics lately; a trend that fits so perfectly with the holiday season. My favourites are, without a doubt, the liquid-like materials, that look as if they are spilling down your body in a second skin sort of way. For my first party look of the season, I decided to combine a matte gold top with a pleated skirt in the same tone, and a brocade jacket. The opulence of the look, demanded an equally rich lip colour, hence the red shade on my lips.

Inside Stars

_MG_3049

Hi you guys! I hope you are doing all well! I’ve been pretty busy these past days, working on the styling of an ad campaign, but I still wanted to share with you a casual look I wore not too long ago. I was in the mood for mixing it up, and so I paired a star print top, with a checked shirt. I decided it was best to keep the look on the cool tones, and I was careful not to pair it with your typical red & navy combo, which would have definitely make me look like the American flag. I hope you guys like it!

Wishing you a blasting weekend!

Print Rendez-Vous

_MG_0621

Hello lovelies! Mixing prints can prove to be a tad bit risky, particularly in a country like my own, where people are not very used to doing it. However, I have come to the conclusion that, when it comes to style, it is far more important to stay true to yourself, than following the fad of the moment. Here is a look I wore not too long ago. By keeping one color scheme I was able to create an outfit that was quirky, but not wacko. I hope you like it!

A Lifesaver

_MG_0696

Hi guys! I love minimal vests. They happen to be a very classy way of dressing an outfit up. A few times, vests have actually been my life savers. I tend to find myself jumping from a long styling day, or even from the gym, to an evening event that requires a more formal dress code. In such cases, I have discovered that, no matter what I’m wearing underneath, throwing a sleek vest on top, and swapping my flats for a pair of stilettos will always do the trick! So I def want to highlight the importance of having such staple garments in your wardrobe.  Believe me, you will thank me!

Quick Fix

_MG_6104
Hi everyone! I trust your week is going well!
I have been told many, many times how hard it is to give me a gift. A gift that I will like and cherish. Well, my godmother sure hit the sweet spot when she bought this dress for me! The only reason why I haven’t worn it that much is because it is actually a bit big on me, and I just haven’t come around to tailoring it. However, I like it so much that I have used it a couple of times already. It struck me that wearing a t-shirt or body underneath would be a great solution to my current fitting problem. Add a waist belt to the mix, and you’ve got yourself a pretty cool ensemble. I encourage you all to get a tad creative when fixing these sorts of inconveniences. You never know what good look you can end up with!

Have a lovely weekend!

Wide Leg

_MG_0930
I have been hunting for my Christmas and New Year’s outfits since the last weeks of November, but this year the task has proven to be harder than the one before. I have looked online, I have looked on my trip to Spain and to the UK, I have looked on local shops and everywhere I could think of. It was hard, particularly because I did not want to fall on my usual head-to-toe black ensemble. I finally did come across a perfect gold, shimmering, super sexy dress; however, along the way I bumped into perfectly nice and flattering black options that, of course, I thought of sharing with you. So excuse me if you may, but I will now bombard you with a few black outfit ideas for your multiple Holiday gatherings. Let the looks roll!

PS: If you are dying to see what my Christmas gold number is, follow me on Instagram as @AndreaNBonilla and stay tuned 😀

Gold Rush

Fell in love with this skirt the moment I laid eyes on it! Perfect lenght, ideal colour, insteresting print, and heavenly fit. I effortlessly paired it with a solid crop top and for a dash of metallic glow, a statement necklace and bow stilettos. Hope you like it!

Button Up!

IMG_8959

Button up skirts are in. Material, and length are trivial issues: let them be denim, suede, or cotton; mini, or midi; they are just in. This denim mini comes across as a playful number that will guarantee your look to be stylish, fun, and weekend friendly. Combining it with a bright top and a printed blazer seemed like the right idea, and girly flats were a no-brainer. I hope you like it!
