Find your pattern!

Hello everyone! A while back, I read a book about style and how to simplify the task of dressing every morning. Reading it gave me many useful insights, one of which I want to share with you all: Find what looks good on you and create a pattern out of it. I'm very reluctant when it comes to subjecting one's style to restrictive molds, but I actually realized that there are certain silhouettes and colors that I instinctively gravitate to. More than clinging to a boring uniform, it is about discovering what suits you best, and turn that into your staple. In my case, I find that high waist, straight leg trousers elongate my figure and accentuate my waist. I have a...

Sweet Pink

Last Wednesday, cladded up in candy pink, I was glad to be wearing woolly layers and jeans. Believe it or not, the afternoon we shot this look was a particularly chilly one. It is March, and the soon to be unbearable heat of Summer has been thrusting the mercury up. But for no reason, that evening, the clouds were ganging up on us and threatening with rain. Even if the cool temperatures offered us a soothing afternoon, we were forced to shut the panoramic doors because the mischievous winds wouldn't give us a rest.    El Miércoles pasado, ataviada en color rosa de pies a cabeza, me reuní con unos amigos en el bar del Crowne Plaza. Aunque no lo crean, el día nos regaló una tarde fresca a diferencia de...

Smell of Christmas

_MG_9387

Hi everyone! We have already stepped into a new season. A season of rich colours and textures; a season to turn to comforting food and cosy clothes. Albeit, El Salvador is not a country that drops into winter temperatures, we surely get the chilling breeze of the end of the year; specially at night, when the cold wind delights us the most with the smell of Christmas. So trying out suedes, long sleeves and ruffles seems just right. Cheers to the new season!

Chilly Afternoons

_MG_6327

Hi guys! This time of the year, sunny mornings are usually followed by chilly afternoons and rainy evenings. A golden rule of mine: never leave home wihtout a jacket and an umbrella. Lately, I have become a bomber jacket fan, and this one is a particular favourite, it goes well with pretty much anything. A few days ago, I was going for a relaxed, comfortable look and this maxi cotton skirt played well with my mood and my jacket. Needless to say it was an easy afternoon, spent with friens by the pool.

PS: Along with the pictures, I’m leaving you with a short clip. I hope you like it!

El Encanto

_MG_6197

Hi everyone! I visited El Encanto a few days ago. It is a residential area that also counts with a beautiful, sleek club house. It is a perfect place for chilling out by the pool with friends, or playing a tennis match; an ideal landscape for a short escapade from the buzz of the city.

Greens & Yellows

_MG_3138

Hi everyone! Last weekend I took a little escapade to the beach. The palms, the sun and the the refreshing sparklings were the perfect company for a short getaway. It all reminded me of this shoot I did, not too long ago. The greens, harmoniously, contrasting with the dashes of yellow and red of the backpack and romper; and the light blue of the shirt works well for an easy cover up.

Inside Stars

_MG_3049

Hi you guys! I hope you are doing all well! I’ve been pretty busy these past days, working on the styling of an ad campaign, but I still wanted to share with you a casual look I wore not too long ago. I was in the mood for mixing it up, and so I paired a star print top, with a checked shirt. I decided it was best to keep the look on the cool tones, and I was careful not to pair it with your typical red & navy combo, which would have definitely make me look like the American flag. I hope you guys like it!

Wishing you a blasting weekend!

XL Tee

_MG_1109

There is something I must admit about this look. It was actually inspired by one of my best friend’s previous outfit. I was never a fan of XL length tops like this burgundy one, until I saw it on my friend one night. As it happened we went to a chill house reunion with a few friends, and she was wearing a pair of vintage looking black jeans and a grey t-shirt, that shapelessly fell all the way to her kneecap. I personally was not allured by it. But the night rolled in, and we moved the party to a club. My friend and I went separately. As I saw her stepping down the car, my opinion about the garment of my objection, completely changed. She had effortlessly tied both ends on a simple yet cool looking knot to the left side of her perfectly toned torso. Needless to say, she looked hot, hot, hot. So when this excessive peace of cloth came my way, I was no longer offended by it, on the contrary it made me want to create a beautiful outfit with it. I hope you guys like it!
