Hi, lovely people! With all the weekday sweaters parading through our IG timelines, this one feels just as cool, but with a more profound meaning and message.
I'm a sucker for love. You may call me naive, blind, or clueless, but I do believe that Love is the only thing that can transform our World into a better place. War, hate, and selfishness may try to obliterate all the goodness in mankind, but no matter how bad things appear to be, love always manages to push its way through, the same way a feeble sprout springs amidst the thickening soil.
Last weekend, I was a bridesmaid at a friend's wedding, seeing both her's and the groom's happiness, made me remember...
Sweater weather is real, people! Every year I tend to forget that temperatures do drop around this time in my country too. Not that our thermometers hit below zero, but we do get fresh mornings and brisk nights.
I love chunky knits, but I don’t usually get to wear them here; however the past weeks have given us the chance to get all cosy in warm socks and sweaters. And around here it doesn’t get any more Christmassy than this, I guess?
I hope you guys like it, and sorry about my absence lately!
What I love most about this jumper is its colour, and how the shades of blue and turquoise merge in a harmonious print. Since the sweater is the focus of the outfit, I decided to pair it up with plain old navy shorts. Having a crisp pool as the background makes the combination look absolutely stunning, especially because the colours blend in perfectly!
In addition, I wore the outfit with maroon lace-up heels, making the other colours stand out. I finished the look by painting my nails white, which really pulls it all together.
PS: Thanks to my two lovely same-name friends, Rocíos! 😉
I always remember about the fact that I live in a tropical country, whenever the rainy season pours down over us. I’m talking about real storms. Not a drizzle, but an actual thunders, cats & dogs scenario. Inspired by the idea of a tropical rain forest, I grabbed my Bambi jumper and set it free in the middle of a garden that resembles a tiny hidden forest. I combined the pullover with a pair of black shorts and black wedges to match. As a final touch, I wore these really fun sunglasses.
I agree, every girl should have at least one LBD, but I also think every girl should have at least one LWD. A Little White Dress is a must have, especially when living in a sunny and warm country. What I love about this particular one is that it can take me from day to night with a simple change of shoes! The simplicity of this shift dress is what makes it so wearable, and the sequins really add up to its chic style. I think you already know how I feel about sequins, but just in case you don’t… I go crazy over them! I find it really hard to resist them. Yes, I admit it…Sometimes I think I have a mini Sharpay Evans inside me, and this is her talking.
On holidays, and especially during winter, I tend to have lazy days. Days when I can barely command my body to crawl out of bed… not to mention to actually dress up. These are the days when all I want to do is throw a cozy, shapeless jumper on and snug in the couch with a big mug of hot chocolate. Of course, I have a pair of warm woolly socks that I reserve for these sluggish occasions, which are perfect to walk about barefoot.
After the first round of Christmas partying, I have pretty much succumbed to laziness… hence my belated Christmas wishes. But you know what they say: Better later than never. So I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
Smiles are acts of joy, kindness, and hope. They are a very powerful force that moves us. When someone smiles, we’re inevitably drawn to smile back. There is something special about smiling that can lift up spirits even amidst the hardest of circumstances.
It is in the air that this is the season of the jumpers and chunky knits. Not only because of the frosty weather, but also because they have creeped up into every collection out there. In American English, jumper equals pull-over sweater.
Whistles, one of my favourite British high street brands has come up with a few jumpers that I have been keeping my eyes on for a while now. Again, in American English, high street fashion equals mass-market retailers. Toronto, and the rest of Canada for that matter, is currently covered by a thick snow blanket, that just keeps getting thicker and thicker. Therefore, it feels more than appropriate for today's Pick of the Week to be a...
