Ok, so remember that cute little cabin I talked to you about not long ago? Well, today’s backdrop happens to be the same house but from a different perspective. Its garden is designed to make the most of the gorgeous city views, and by night, the flickering lights of the town below find their reflections in the stars that stud the sky. I hope you like my outfit, perfectly fit for a relaxed day in the mountains.
One of the best parts of Fashion is pushing your creativity in order to make new, and unique combinations. Layering is an easy way of achieving originality on your look on a daily basis. A few days back, I grabbed a simple, off the shoulder, white dress that -TBH- hadn’t much going in for it, and layered it in a way that I would actually want to wear. I topped the dress with a sandy colour crochet vest, and again with a military style gilet. How do you guys feel about it?
Hi guys! I love minimal vests. They happen to be a very classy way of dressing an outfit up. A few times, vests have actually been my life savers. I tend to find myself jumping from a long styling day, or even from the gym, to an evening event that requires a more formal dress code. In such cases, I have discovered that, no matter what I’m wearing underneath, throwing a sleek vest on top, and swapping my flats for a pair of stilettos will always do the trick! So I def want to highlight the importance of having such staple garments in your wardrobe. Believe me, you will thank me!
Hi guys! My hair has been particularly hard to handle lately with the humidity, the heat and its length. I have to say it can get a little bit frustrating. A couple of weeks ago, I had the luck of trying L’Oreal’s Steam Pod treatment, which hydrated my hair, removed the its frizz and filled it with life. A total wonder! This was not the first treatment I had, but it surely was a great one. I noticed the difference not only on the day I got it, but after showering a few times as well. If you get the chance, I encourage you to try it too! Here are some shots we took on the day I got the treatment done.
A big hug!
Happy Tuesday you guys! Third pieces are always a great way to pull an outfit together. They allow us to create interesting silhouettes, as well as play with colours and volumes. This is why it is always a good idea to invest on them. However, with El Salvador’s heat, it is sometimes difficult, and even silly to wear third pieces. BUT! one can always find a way, and in our case, vests are a great choice to layer up without feeling like a smoked piece of ham. I wore this outfit last week and was super in love with the utility vest, plus a girl can always use a couple of extra pockets! I hope you like it!
There is something about hats that they instantly infuse attitude into a look. They are like the cherry on top, the final touch that pulls an outfit together. However, I find that we are sometimes wary about hats, maybe, because it is an accessory that albeit its cover up function, puts us in the spotlight; or perhaps, it is because we do not want to ruin a perfectly good coiffure. I’m sometimes object of these fears myself, but I have also realized that once I start wearing them, I do not want to take them off! And really who can blame us, when sometimes all we want is a dash of mystery.
About a couple of weeks ago, I was asked to create an outfit with these gorgeous, lace ankle booties. I was told that because they were such a fashion statement, it would be harder for people to visualize them in their wardrobes. I immediately jumped, psyched at the thought of it. I loved the shoes the moment I spotted them, and I already had an avalanche of ideas on how to wear them.
The easiest way of wearing them is letting all of the eyes immediately fall on them, by leaving your legs bare skin. Wear them with a mini dress, skirt, or shorts for maximum showcase. You can always also wear them with skin tight jeans, or if you don’t dare to actually bring everyone’s attention to them, combine them with straight leg or flared trousers.

About a week ago, I found this random vest in my wardrobe… I sincerely think it belongs to my grandmother. You see, whenever she comes to El Salvador, I let her borrow my bedroom, so half of my closet is filled with her clothes. When I found this vest, I thought it would look good layered up with a denim jacket. I think the end result is actually pretty cool. What do you guys think?
PS: I’m sorry I haven’t posted anything lately. I’m back in Toronto only for a couple of weeks, which means I have lots to do, and little time to do it.
